This Cookie Policy explains how AMG Retail Ltd ("Kit and Kaboodal", "we", "us" and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit kitandkaboodal.com (the "Site"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and the choices you have about how they are used.
Cookies are not used to collect anything that identifies you by name unless you give us that information yourself, for example by creating an account or joining our mailing list. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we handle your personal information more generally.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences between visits, and to give site owners information about how their site is being used.
We also use a few closely related technologies that do similar jobs:

- Software development kits (SDKs). Code provided by a partner that runs inside our Site, for example the code that powers our loyalty scheme.

Cookies set by kitandkaboodal.com are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation whose service we use, such as Google or Meta, are called third-party cookies. Those third parties may recognise your device on other websites as well as ours.
Why we use cookies
We use cookies for four broad reasons.
To make the Site work. Some cookies are essential. They keep your basket populated as you move between pages, keep you signed in, remember your currency and delivery region, and protect the Site and the checkout against fraud and abuse. Without these the Site cannot function, so they are always active and cannot be switched off.
To remember your preferences. These cookies hold choices you have made, such as your country, your currency, and whether you have already dismissed a pop-up. They make return visits smoother but the Site works without them.
To understand how the Site is used. These cookies tell us which pages are popular, where people drop off, how quickly pages load, and which journeys lead to a purchase. The picture we get is aggregated, and we use it to fix problems and improve the shopping experience.
To make our marketing relevant. These cookies record which products you have looked at so that the advertising you see on other sites and the emails we send are closer to what you are actually interested in, and so that we can measure whether our advertising is working. They also allow us to avoid showing you the same advert repeatedly.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not allow our advertising partners to use data collected on our Site for their own unrelated purposes.
Your choices
Our cookie settings. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies when you first arrive on the Site, and you can change your mind at any time by reopening the cookie settings from the link in the footer. Your choice is remembered on the device and browser you made it on, so you will need to set it again on a different device, in a different browser, or if you clear your cookies.
Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. The relevant instructions are here:
Blocking all cookies, including essential ones, will stop parts of the Site working. You may not be able to add items to your basket or complete an order.
Do Not Track. There is no agreed industry standard for responding to browser Do Not Track signals, so our Site does not currently respond to them. We will update this policy if that changes.
Your rights
Where cookies collect information that identifies you, UK data protection law gives you rights over that information, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, and object to it being used for direct marketing.
